Eliseo's First Haircut

Eliseo's curls can give us quite a hard time because they get all tangled up on the back of his head. I have some detangler but he still hates when I brush them out, so I figured it was time to give him a haircut and I thought, we'll just take him to Beaners Cuts for Kids down the street. Nope, Papa said that he wanted to do it himself...so I said, why not? So Alonso went out and bought a set up clippers, here he is trying them out on himself first. The little plastic cape came with the kit and there is no after picture because he wouldn't let me take one. Let's just say Alonso will be wearing a hat for the next couple of weeks!

The stage was set, Mommy had her camera and Eliseo was sitting calmly in his highchair probably thinking "Uh oh she's got that big black thing that she always puts in front of her face out again, something is about to happen. Then Daddy reached for Eliseo's hair and the clippers went buzzz and he started crying.
He cried and squirmed the whole way through. Needless to say it was impossible to get a very even cut.

What the heck are they doing to me, leave me alone and Mom get that black thing out of my face!

All done! With a bowl of watermelon and no tears! The end result is definitly lopsided, the back is a bit buzzed, the left side doesn't match the right side but oh well. It was fun... for us anyways!
