We Continue

Friday was a good day at dayhome, it was his first full day that he didn't spend screaming his head off! We were warned that Monday would probably be a case of one step forward, two steps back. In this case, they should of said, one step forward and one bonk on the head! What happened? Sometimes when he crys he gets angry and he throws any toys that you try and offer him away. Well this time his toy hit his head and he got a his first big owwie. Poor Eimear kept trying to put a cool cloth on his head but he didn't like it. Tomorrow is another day and hopefully a better one.
This weekend, Eliseo was so happy to be home with Mom & Dad. We took him to get his vaccinations and he didn't even cry. The nurse warned us that the MMR vaccination stings more than the others, so we were braced for some crying. Instead he just let out a little cry when they put the needle in, then he cuddled up to Daddy's chest, gave him a big hug and was FINE. No crys, we even got a little smile for the nurse afterwards. I could hear him thinking " You can stick me with all the needles you want, I got my Mom and Dad today and I can handle anything!"
The return to work for Alonso has been harder than expected, the adjustment continues for Eliseo and the rest of our family and we cherish all the hours of the day we have together. We are grateful to Eimear for her care and patience in helping Eliseo transition to dayhome. I have already seen positive signs from Eliseo, he is much more independent even after just one week.
