Eliseo's first birthday is February 3 but we celebrated this past Sunday with family. I made a carrot cake for him (i'm more of a cook, not a baker, but it turned out OK). They say times flies when you are having fun and in this case that is so true. The last year has been amazing and neither Alexa, Alonso or I can imagine our house without the little guy. We marvel at all his little achievements and we are so looking forward to what the next year and beyond will bring.
He is just getting his fourth tooth, he has two on the bottom and then each of his side teeth on top, it looks kind of funny because most kids get there two top teeth before the fangs come in. He's not walking yet, but he is very proficient at crawling and cruising around the furniture, occasionally he will stand by himself but then he sits down quickly (I think standing freaks him out). He talks little words, like DaDa and he can point to his ears when we ask him to, he also points to his ears when we ask him where his eyes, nose and mouth are but hey.... it's a start.
Dayhome is still a bit of a struggle Eliseo is having a hard time adjusting to being away from Mom & Dad and he spends most of his days crying. We are trying different things and I desperately hope that these early days will be behind us soon and he can feel more secure with the new reality. 
He got his little truck as one of his birthday presents, he likes it and it has a handle in the back that he can grab and walk with. He also dances when he presses the button and the music comes on.
