Eliseo has had 6 swimming lessons so far. The first three he spent screaming his head off, he hated it so much. I would hold him under his arms and I could feel his little heart beating in his chest, he was so frightened. Then the next two lessons he spent completely silent, just staring at all the other kids, on the verge of tears, heart thumping, but not crying. Then this past Saturday at his lesson he was really good, I called him Zen baby because he was so calm. His heart was normal he was just so relaxed and I even got a smile out of him. He really gets a kick out of the jungle theme at the pool, he's usually saying either Aqua (Water) or Mono (Monkey) and pointing at the monkey that they have climbing a tree.
This is Eliseo is the bath, practicing his Starfish. Starfish is when you lie on your back and spread your arms and legs out and make like you are floating. Then he works on his kicking, it's all really fun.
