Alonso sister in Nicaragua sent us some old photos of Alonso. Photos of him when he was young are so rare, it was so nice to see these. I asked him why he was never smiling and he said that they didn't have cameras on the farm and usually people would come and take pictures but it was with the old fashioned cameras where the person taking picture hid under a black drape and there was a big Pop and smoke when the photo was taken, he said they were always kind of scared of the camera!
Below is Alonso (right) and his brother Tito (left). Alonso was about 2 years old and Tito was 3 years old. Notice the bottom of the picture is cut off... his sister cut the photo because they weren't wearing any shoes! We think there is a little resemblance to Eliseo in this photo.
Alonso on his horse! He was about 10 years old. This picture was taken on their farm, in the background you can see Alonso's mom.
