Mexican Bread - Pan Dulce

Tania & Mario brought us a whole bag of Mexican pastries (Pan Dulce in spanish) in their carry on bag from California. If you've ever had these you know how special they are, there were about 15 or so different pastries, each one is different and soooooo good! I think we finished most of them the first night, except a few that I left in the bag on the kitchen table. In the morning I woke up, Alonso & Mario were in the living room having coffee, where was Eliseo? I found him under the kitchen table with the open bag of Pan, covered in crumbs and a big muffin stuffed in his mouth. Of course, I laughed so hard, and couldn't resist the photo opportunity.

He looked so content we left him there and let him finish the pastry he chose, but I had to quickly grab the bag and the remaining pastries and tuck them away for safekeeping!

I'm still looking for a Mexican bakery in Calgary that makes these delicious little treats. I haven't found any yet and I suspect I probably will not. Oh well, I wonder how much Fed Ex would charge to ship them from California??
