Trip to Visit Family in LA

We just got back from our visit to California to introduce Eliseo to the family. I was meeting some people for the first time, after meeting everyone I can sincerly say that I am so proud to be part of such a warm welcoming family with such wonderful people. I can't wait to go back again!

On our first Day Eliseo, Alexa and I experienced our first Earthquake! I couldn't believe it! I will admit it was not as bad as I thought an earthquake would be. This one registered 5.4 and the epicenter was not far from where we were but the scariest part was the loud rumbling from the earth, that was a little too freaky for me. The Californian's don't even fret about it, they would much rather live through an earthquake than a cold Canadian Winter... go figure!

We never ate such good food. Southern California is the Mecca of Latin Food! They are so spoiled to have such great food on every corner. Our last day we ate lunch at El Torito, they are famous for their amazing Margaritas. Eliseo just had a side of beans!

Who's star is this? Alonso thinks it's his and they just forgot to put his name on it and Alexa thinks it's being saved for her when she is famous. You should of seen the Paparazzi chasing us all day walking with those two! One thinks he's famous already and one is sure that she will be one day! What a day! Other than the Kodak Theatre on Hollywood Blvd the rest of the strip is really ugly and trashy. We left there and then drove around Beverly Hills for a while, much nicer!

This is an Elephant Ear plant that Tania and Mario have in their backyard. Mario has a green thumb, I couldn't believe how big this plant is. I've seen elephant ear plants in Calgary but not this big!

Cenia and Victoria used to fight over who got to sit next to me and the baby while he was eating. This is Cenia getting her turn. The days are quite hot in San Bernardino but the nights really cool off, this particular night Eliseo decided to try riding a little tricycle in front of the house, who cares if it's a girl bike, he had fun!
